There is also a large market for 3rd party banks for this VST, allowing you even more choices to expand on the already powerful library it comes with.

Next on the list is Serum. This VST is not just easy on your CPU, but it also is loaded with a variety of different sounds. Think bells, leads, bass, and arps – Serum’s got you covered. Serum not only allows you to synthesize sounds from scratch but also allows for the importing of custom samples, blurring the line between traditional synth sounds and real natural-sounding instruments.

Looking for something with a little more aggression? Check out Electra3. If you want to create spacey sounds, this is your go-to VST. This is also one of our favorite synths for ARPs, there is just something about the VST that always delivers the perfect finishing or unique touch to tracks. If you do not have ElectraX, pick up a copy and you will see exactly what we mean.

If you’re more into vintage-style synths, then you can’t go wrong with DIVA. This VST offers classic synth sounds that are perfect for emulating vintage hardware synths, giving you that authentic vintage sound. It can be a little CPU-heavy but it is definitely a worthwhile investment for all synth lovers.

Analog Lab is somewhat of a newcomer but it is another VST that’s perfect for hip-hop music production. Analog Lab is great for delivering sounds from both sides of the spectrum, whether you’re searching for dope synths or sample influenced presets. It offers a wide range of presets that are perfect for everything from trap to melodic and ambient melodies.

Last but not least, we have Kontakt. Kontakt is an absolute beast for any type of natural instrument sound you can imagine, from flutes, guitars, pianos, ethnic sounds, vocals, and more. Kontakt also allows you to use the free version for many of their libraries, just be sure to verify this is the case with the bank you are interested in as many will time-out after a certain amount of time if they are not officially licensed for Kontakt Player. In summary, you cannot go wrong with Kontakt if you are trying to add a touch of realism to your beats or melodies.
