I should have officially written this awhile back but, officially, I just go by the moment. I did write to StudioSounds and expressed my enthusiasm for and thanks to the company. The moment I heard this pack I swear it took me someplace else. I’ve just read the other reviews here and I wasn’t alone with my first impression of this pack. I would say that StudioSounds really hit the nail spot on with this XO The Overdose pack. Having different formats of the same genre of this sound, even, plugins designed to emulate this sound, I would say,StudioSounds got them all beat. Every area of the sounds themselves are covered. It’s hard to even think of checking for a weak area on any sound in this pack.. This was the first pack I bought from StudioSounds, either right away or the next day I began going in on StudioSounds products. I guess maybe I should write a review for each product so that I can enjoy that discount they have but for me in all honesty something this good means I need it, discount or not. The price is decent for the body of work you get in a pack. You know when you you’ve found something that gets you open , you want to tell everybody. I didn’t wait this long to write a review so much as I’ve just been writing music and incorporating the StudioSounds camp into my previous works. I’m writing now because I’m about to shop some more and I don’t really think I need to get the demo’s from StudioSounds at this point. I trust that it’s going to be exactly like that first time and how it has been with every other pack I bought, without a discount.. but I still cannot remember how or where I found out about StudioSounds because everything changed the moment I heard these sounds yo’. And with every pack I get caught up and lost for some time. Just like the others that have written reviews.

If you want to make music like The Weeknd PND, etc this is EXACTLY what you need. I’ve created endless stuff with it, SS did such a good job on it and if you’re having second thoughts on buying it definitely just go it, worth every single penny.

The UI is clean and presents the controls that are necessary right in front of you. Sounds are very good, atmos section is unique and presents very nicely made drones, the only downside is that some of them are chordal or di-tonal which might not fit all the productions but yes, they can really add that tension when needed.
Why 4 stars and not 5 just because I miss the Glide control which is present even on the very basic Kontakt libraries, if that can be improved, I’ll be more than happy to rate this 5. Library this good with amazing sounds can really blow away everything that’s in the market with just an implementation of glide/portamento control. Love the tremolo btw, cheers team!
