London On Da Track Tips & Tricks For Producers
Thursday, September 21, 2017

As many of you know, Genius has been releasing some awesome content for music producers via their  “Deconstructed” series. The series is basically a behind the scenes look at the making of some of today’s hottest beats. In a recent video that features London On Da Track, you can see London break down the making of his “No Flag” beat featuring 21 Savage, Offset and Nicki Minaj.

At around the 2:20 mark in the video, you can see London break down a custom ambient texture he created to give the track a more haunting feeling. While London uses the texture to get a more haunting feeling, ambient textures and Atmospheric pads are a great way to add an interesting dimension to virtually any instrument/drum loop.

As many of you know every bank we sell includes custom atmospheric pads and textures so we put together a small pack of a few different ones that you can experiment with and use in your own beats today to put the technique London speaks about to the test!

Just as a tip, these work best when just playing the root note of a chord or melody and are not meant to function like regular pads. Enjoy!
